Ellis Marsalis is a father figure of modern jazz as well as a master and educator of this unique art form with its roots in his home town of New Orleans. Mr. Marsalis is also the proud father of individually extraordinary musicians and sons Branford, Wynton, Delfeayo and Jason Marsalis.

Benefit proceeds will fund DFRinc's legal service project to provide low income women in the Harris County Jail with attorneys to gain or maintain meaningful contacts with their children.
Honorees: Rev. Solomon and Mrs. Erma Jefferson for 20 faithful years of service in prison ministry, including as lead servants at Good Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Houston, Texas.
